If your family feels stuck in constant conflict, if conversations quickly turn into arguments or silence, or if there’s a growing sense of distance and disconnection—you're not alone. Families can fall into painful patterns over time, even with the best intentions. You may find yourselves walking on eggshells, struggling to feel heard, or feeling more like strangers than a loving, supportive unit.

In family therapy, we focus on how your family interacts day to day. We help identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and work with you to create new ways of relating that feel more respectful, connected, and supportive. Together, we’ll look at how roles are shared, how boundaries are maintained, and how each person’s voice can be heard in a way that brings more calm and clarity to your home.

We won’t just talk about what’s not working—we’ll help your family practice new ways of being together in the moment. You’ll learn how to communicate more clearly, handle conflict with less reactivity, and rebuild the sense of warmth and closeness that may have been lost along the way.

Whether you’re navigating parenting challenges, sibling tension, or the impact of major life changes, we’re here to support your family in finding more peace, connection, and understanding. You don’t have to keep going in circles. Real change is possible—and we’re here to help you get there.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT-T), I work with individuals (ages 13+), couples, and families to navigate life’s complexities and challenges. My passion lies in helping family systems break free from patterns that feel limiting or stuck, fostering healthier and more meaningful connections. I strive to empower you to find your voice, rebuild trust, and experience relief from pain, all within a compassionate and non-judgmental space.

Grounded in a trauma-informed approach, I provide support through life’s difficult moments, guiding you toward improved communication and sustainable, positive change. Whether you’re addressing unresolved trauma, navigating life transitions, or learning healthier coping strategies, my goal is to meet you where you are and tailor our work to your unique needs.

I specialize in helping families and couples heal relationally, develop healthier dynamics, and navigate conflict with understanding and compassion. Together, we’ll explore solutions that feel right for you, creating a foundation for lasting growth and transformation.

It’s my honor to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and fulfillment. If you’re ready to take the next step toward a healthier, more connected life, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Clients come to me struggling and suffering and not always understanding why. These struggles can show up in many ways: difficulty connecting with others, loneliness, anxiety, low-self worth, people-pleasing, social anxiety, withdrawal, headaches, sleeplessness, stomach pain, addictions, nightmares, racing thoughts, anger, irritability…and so much more.

What many people don’t realize is that the past lives in us both emotionally and physically.

I often hear:

I should be over this already. It was so long ago.

I’ve already talked about this so why does it still bother me?

I don’t know why I’m so unhappy. I have a good life.

Just as the impact of a car accident can cause our muscles to lock up, the impact of an emotional event can cause the brain and body to lock up. We get stuck in fight-or-flight and that reaction gets triggered over and over again by every day events.

Many of my clients have spent years in therapy, but find that simply talking about their experiences is not enough to heal what’s happening on a nervous system level.

That’s why I integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) into my talk therapy. Through EMDR, we’re able to change the neurological response to the past, and release the emotional hold it has on you.

Life can feel heavy—especially when anxiety, loneliness, or self-doubt start to shape how you see yourself and the world around you. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unseen, or just tired of carrying things on your own, you’re not broken—and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I especially enjoy working with women who feel anxious or depressed, who struggle with self-worth, or who feel lonely even when they’re surrounded by people. I also love supporting teens who need a safe, steady adult in their corner—someone who listens, takes them seriously, and helps them make sense of a really complicated world.

My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I’m attachment-oriented and relational at heart, and I believe meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—it’s about walking alongside you, helping you understand what’s going on beneath the surface, and working together to problem-solve in ways that actually fit your life.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not sure where to begin. Whether you’re coming in with clear goals or just a sense that something needs to change, I’d be honored to meet you where you are and support you as you take the next step forward.

Therapy should feel like a place where you can be fully human. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship issues, or navigating a major life transition. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space for individuals, couples, teens, and families to explore what’s going on and find a path forward.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in emotionally focused therapy, trauma-informed care, and family and couples counseling. I tailor each session to your unique needs, using approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand your emotions, build healthier relationships, and feel more grounded in your day-to-day life.

Emotions are powerful messengers. When we learn to work with them—not against them—we uncover deeper insight, healing, and connection. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, divorce, or communication issues in your relationship, I’ll walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and care.

Areas of Focus I provide therapy for:

Anxiety, depression, and trauma

Divorce and major life transitions

Couples counseling and marriage therapy

Family therapy and adolescent support

About Me I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Kansas. Over the past three years, I’ve supported individuals, dating and married couples, and a wide variety of family systems.

Outside of therapy, I’m a storyteller and musician. I’ve written over 50 short stories and write and record music. (Fun fact: I auditioned for American Idol in 2008 and sang Billy Joel’s “The Longest Time.” Ryan Seacrest put his arm around me for a commercial shot—he’s shorter than he looks on TV!) I also have two webbed toes on each foot… but it’s not as helpful in the water as you’d think.
